Join Carrie Curran Art Studios for a morning of art instruction while sipping mimosas. From enthusiastic beginners to emerging professionals, Carrie will teach, inspire and guide you on an artistic journey while using acrylics on canvas to create your very own masterpiece. Hermosa Inn Art Walk

Home to a beloved property and historical landmark built by cowboy artist Alonzo “Lon” Megargee in the 1930s, The Hermosa Inn has since amassed one of the largest known collections of his original work. It has also recently partnered with Clinton Johnson of ZHOS Gallery in Colorado to bring Shona art sculptures—created by some of the most prominent artists from Zimbabwe—to the inn.
Gaining international recognition in the mid-20th century, Shona art, primarily known for its distinctive stone sculpture from Zimbabwe, is a vibrant contemporary movement rooted in deep cultural traditions, with pieces carved from local stones such as serpentine, springstone, rose granite, green opal, leopard rock, and more.
Guests are invited to stroll the sprawling, lush grounds of The Hermosa Inn to view these one-of-a-kind works of art, featuring over a dozen artists and more than 20 sculptures.
