Arizona Restaurant Week at LON’s

September 18, 2026 – September 27, 2026

LON’s at the Hermosa joins Fall Arizona Restaurant Week with a three-course prix fixe menu from Executive Chef Brian Peterson, drawing on the Arizona farms and ranches that shape the restaurant’s cooking year-round. Restaurant Week has long been the Valley’s invitation to try the table it has been saving; this fall, that table sits inside a 1930s hacienda.

Hermosa Inn Art Walk

Year Round

Home to a beloved property and historical landmark built by cowboy artist Alonzo “Lon” Megargee in the 1930s, The Hermosa Inn has since amassed one of the largest known collections of his original work. It has also recently partnered with Clinton Johnson of ZHOS Gallery in Colorado to bring Shona art sculptures—created by some of the most prominent artists from Zimbabwe—to the inn.

Gaining international recognition in the mid-20th century, Shona art, primarily known for its distinctive stone sculpture from Zimbabwe, is a vibrant contemporary movement rooted in deep cultural traditions, with pieces carved from local stones such as serpentine, springstone, rose granite,  green opal, leopard rock, and more.

Guests are invited to stroll the sprawling, lush grounds of The Hermosa Inn to view these one-of-a-kind works of art, featuring over a dozen artists and more than 20 sculptures.

For those interested in purchasing any of the pieces located on the property, please contact PAUL SCOTT GALLERY in Scottsdale, Arizona, at 480-596-9533 or visit paulscottgallery.com.

Casa Hermosa Dinner: A Night at Lon’s Table

October 11, 2026 – October 11, 2026
Chef Brian Peterson takes over the library at Casa Hermosa for one night in October with a four-course menu reimagining classic cowboy cuisine.
Casa Hermosa is the adobe hacienda that cowboy artist Lon Megargee built as his own home, and the house our restaurant is named for. His paintings still hang on the walls. Megargee was a working cowboy before he was a painter, and Chef Peterson cooks the country he painted: chipotle-braised rabbit, scallop ceviche with prickly pear granita, red chile bison stew, a wood-grilled prime tomahawk. Tepary beans, nopales, fry bread.
The evening begins with a sparkling rosé reception on the patio, then guests sit down together at one long table. Matthew Weston hosts, speaking to the wines and to the history of the house. Chef Peterson introduces each course.
Sunday, October 11. Reception at 6 PM, dinner at 6:30. $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Optional wine pairing, $65 per person.
