Housekeeping Lead

The ideal person interested in the housekeeping lead position at the award-winning, four diamond AAA Hermosa Inn will be a dedicated, hard-working, detail-oriented, team player. This person will supervise our housekeeping staff while also performing laundry and houseman duties. The ideal candidate will ensure a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility, leading a team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect rooms, maintaining Hermosa standards
  • Assign and monitor arrivals and departures daily
  • Update room status in property management system
  • Provide hands on support for housekeeping team
  • Clean rooms as needed
  • Sort, wash, dry and fold linen
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel’s public areas
  • Train housekeepers as needed
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience as housekeeping lead or supervisor
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and guests
  • Basic computer skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to push, pull and lift a moderate amount of weight
  • This a physically demanding job. Much of your shift will be spent in and out of rooms and public spaces, in all types of weather.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes holidays, weekends, as the business dictates
  • Bilingual a must

Group Sales Manager

Position Summary:

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for actively soliciting, prospecting, qualifying, and securing group business to meet and/or exceed the hotel’s budgeted group room and banquet revenue goals. This position manages inquiries, conducts sales calls and site inspections, and develops strong client relationships to drive revenue growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively solicit, prospect, and qualify new and existing group business opportunities.
Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and produce and/or review sales contracts and rate agreements in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Conduct site inspections and off-site presentations for current and prospective clients.
Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and hotel partners to generate repeat business, referrals, and new client contacts.
Maintain knowledge of competitors, industry trends, and local market conditions.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales and revenue reports.
Maximize hotel occupancy and ADR while meeting and/or exceeding budgeted revenue goals.
Support the mission and core values of the organization through professionalism, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Requirements / Skills / Qualifications

Five years of group hotel sales experience requested; luxury hotel experience preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to multitask and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to achieve sales success.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Delphi systems.
Must maintain regular attendance and be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
